Head Coach: Josh Rogers (email)

Josh Rogers is entering his 1st year as Head Coach with the Eagles.  Before becoming the head coach, Rogers was an assistant for Davies for 8 seasons.  This is his 20th year of coaching overall and he has been involved with several successful programs, including serving as the Head Coach for the Fargo South/Davies team during the 2010-2012 seasons, Head JV Coach for Buffalo/Hanover/Montrose 2012-2015, and then serving as an assistant coach with the Davies program since 2015.

Rogers graduated from Red River High school in 2001 as a 3-time letter winner and won two state championships as a player (2000, 2001).  He continued his playing career for one year while at Concordia College, where he graduated with a degree in Biology Education.  He has been a teacher for 13 years, teaching at North, South and Davies.  He was also a teacher in the Buffalo, MN school district, where he taught at an alternative high school for young people at risk of dropping out.  Since returning to Fargo, Rogers has been an EL science teacher at Davies High School for the past 7 years.  He has also earned an MA in Physics Education and a certificate in English as a Second Language.  

Outside of hockey/coaching, he enjoys photography, taking long walks with his dogs, and advocating for social issues, including environmental justice.  He is the advisor for Davies Environmental Club and occasionally drives the bus for away games. 

Rogers lives in Moorhead with his wife, Heidi Rogers.  They have 2 dogs, Bailey and Flyer, and a cat named Ollivander.  Together they enjoy going on long trips with the dogs and spoiling their cat.  

Assistant Coach: Kara Tupa

Kara Tupa is entering her first season as Assistant Coach with the Eagles. Before accepting the position, she was head coach for Hopkins JV Girls High School and has volunteered for various organizations, including Minnesota Special Hockey. Along with coaching, Kara has been an official for over 8 years with USA hockey and various other leagues, including MSHSL, USPHL and WCCHA.

Tupa graduated from Fargo South High School in 2014. She played hockey and soccer for Fargo South from 2010-2013 and won a state championship in 2012 with the girls hockey team. After her junior season, she moved to Michigan to join the 19u Honeybaked Ham. She won a state championship there, as well as finishing 5th at Nationals. She continued playing hockey in college for UND and Concordia Moorhead before hanging them up and finishing her degree in Communications at Concordia. 

Outside of hockey, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, her cat Dave and going to concerts. 

Assistant Coach: Mykenzie Broadland

Previously, before joining the Eagles, I was head coach of the Breckinridge/Wahpeton Blades for two years in the MSHSL. This year was also my first year as assistant coach for the Wahpeton High School volleyball team. I also am a volunteer for the organization BioGirls, where I share my passion for exercise, confidence, and many other values with youth girls in my community. 

I graduated from Wahpeton High School in 2016. I played volleyball and hockey for Wahpeton High School; I was a part of the 19u program from 7th grade to my senior year and won the ND 19u state championship my senior year. After high school I decided to forgo college athletics and attended UND from 2016-2020 where I earned my Bachelors in Psychology. 

Outside of coaching, I enjoy spending time outdoors at the lake or hiking with family, friends, and my three dogs - Kallie, Poppy, and Finn. When I am at home I enjoy cooking/baking, reading, and taking care of my many plants.
