PSAT/NMSQT Registration Fall 2025

Davies High School offers the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. This test is designed for juniors who are hoping to enter the competition for National Merit Scholarships. Sophomores are allowed to take the PSAT but their score won't be eligible for National Merit entry. The PSAT is scheduled for the morning of Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

For the 2025 PSAT/NMSQT, students at Davies will be registering online. This regisitration process will only take a few minutes and can be completed from any computer with internet access.

If you feel this is appropriate for you/your student, online exam registration opens Tuesday, September 2nd at 7:00 AM and will close Friday, September 12th at 11:59 PM. The fee to take the exam is $19. Please watch for announcements regarding the PSAT in the fall.

ACT

Some students ask if they should take the ACT. That is completely up to the individual and their family. The ACT is no longer given at Davies High School during the school year to all Juniors. The ACT is given on several national test dates (listed below) at various locations in Fargo. If students do choose to test on a neational test date, all registration activities are done on the website at:
